Two Treats this Week: Martin Espada and Norm Davis

Martin Espada

November 6: Reading, 7 PM

Flynn Campus Center
Building 3
Monroe Community College
Rochester, NY
Contact: Marie Brandt

Two reasons I’ll be doing my best to check this one out:

First: Nick Hogan, who was kind enough to let me know about this reading, recommended him after seeing him at the Dodge Poetry Festival this year and says he is a tremendous poet.

Second: The first thing I saw when I Googled him was this - Sandra Cisneros says: “Martín Espada is the Pablo Neruda of North American authors.”

So how could we miss this? And for free! Nick says, “People should treat themselves and go.” So I’m letting folks know at his, and my own, request.
