6th Annual Poets Against the War

At the Golisano Gateway, Mid-level Room, Basil Hall
St. John Fisher College, Rochester, NY 14618 US
When: Tuesday, February 12, 7:00PM to 11:00PM
Phone: 260-9005

From the host Frank Judge:

For the sixth year in a row, we're inviting area poets, musicians and other performers to participate in the Rochester Poets Against the War & Occupation event. It will be held in the Golisano Gateway, St. John Fisher College, 7-11 pm, Tuesday, February 12, the 5th anniversary of the cancelled White House symposium on poetry which launched the PAW movement.

No one is expected to create work for the event, but we encourage poets and other writers to read their own material. If you're a musician and don't feel your have any suitable pieces, there's a mountain of suitable songs from the Civil Rights & Vietnam era protests that are as timely now as they were then.

If you're participating, please email a bio-bibliographical blurb (4-5 lines) for the program notes -- publications, interests, causes vs. academics. If you joined us before, please update your info.

Please RSVP ASAP so we can get to work on press notices, flyers and other publicity.

Thanks again for your support.
