Reading for Relief: Saturday, June 28

From Wanda Schubmehl:

Asia has been devastated recently by a cyclone in Burma/Myanmar and the powerful earthquake which hit Sichuan province in China. We have all seen the photos and video on TV and the internet, and have, perhaps, been listening to the NPR coverage of the earthquake from its reporters who happened to be in the earthquake zone at the time of the quake.
Maybe you took a minute to think about the desperate needs of the victims of these natural disasters, and wished there were something you could do to help.

Here is an opportunity to spend an afternoon in the company of wonderful local writers reading from their poetry, fiction, and memoir, for a suggested donation to relief efforts for Burma/Myanmar and Sichuan, China through Mercy Corps.
